Key to Reform and Adopt Noble
Treatment Initiatives (KRANTI)
KRANTI is an initiation of Mr. K. C. Tripathi, a
Lead Course Co-ordinator (LCC) of Social Audit and Accountability (SAA),
deputed by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences and the Ministry of Rural
Development Government of India for capacity building of the District Social
Audit Co-ordinators (DSAC) and Block Social Audit Co-ordinators (BSAC). The two LCCs and three Master Trainers (MT) of
SAA are participating actively to make the initiation great and grand success. The Social Auditors of
Unnao trained by the LCCs and MTs on SAA have adopted village Beekamou of Asoha
block to prove their worth in accelerating development at village level. A
group of NGOs and some individuals inclined for development of rural people are
supporting the initiation. They have organized themselves as Gram Swaraj
Foundation, a trust committed to establish live model on process of Gram Swaraj
not on paper but at village level. A brief report of KRANTI on the interventions
in Beekamou for the first six months is given below:
Introduction:
On the day Independence Day, 15th
August 2017, project KRANTI was introduced by a group of NGOs and Social
Auditors of Unnao in village Beekamou of Asoha block. A pad yatra was organsed
let the people know that their village has been adopted by the group to establish
live model on process of Gram Swaraj in their village. During the pad yatra the
villagers were invited to participate in first meeting of KRANTI being
organized in a school of their village.
Only 68 people, both the male and female,
participated in the meeting. In the meeting the villagers were told that KRANTI
is a non funded initiative so need their physical and financial support to
convert the dream of Mahatma Gandhi “Gram Swaraj” into reality. I was made
clear that the people of Beemamou have to take initiatives to make KRANTI
success. The group will support them as a guide to establish first live model
in their villagers.
Sonu, the Block Cordinator Asoha was given
responsibility to work intensively in Beekamou for developing a team of local
people who may be developed as an institution of people.
Preliminary
preparations:
The community was motivated to find capable people
from their ward of Beekamou who may work as volunteer for 18 months without any
remuneration to prove their worth as a Change Agent (CA). This was assured that
at the end of project a team of experts will evaluate their success and ward
them a certificate. The successful person will be provided opportunity to work
in second phase of KRANTI. The community
of each ward selected one person from 9 wards and one person from 3 wards. Thus
total 15 people were selected by local people 11 wards of Beekamou. These
selected people are being supported by subject experts to understand process of
participatory planning.
As a preliminary preparation meetings were
organized in village Beemamou. It was interesting to note that in starting only
six people were selected to establish an institution for implementing KRAINTI
in Beekamou. But in a meeting on 25th September 2017 while
celebrating birth day of Bank Uncle it was decided that from each ward at least
one person must be selected to make a village level instititution. Therefore
attempt was made and 15 people were selected.
Launching:
On 3rd December 2017, the birth day of
founder of Development Car, a foot march (Pad Yatra) was organized by the group
of people selected to implement KRANTI.
In the foot march the community was made aware that they have to
identify one and only one local specific issue of their village what he/she
wish to be addressed on top priority. At the end of foot march a meeting was
organized to let the community find their role in development interventions.
In the meeting the community was also made clear
that we are not only a body but a combination of body and soul. The soul is
invisible and comes from an invisible zone. It remains with the body and leaves
only after death. The Development Car is the gift of almighty for everyone for
journey of soul. This is also invisible but remains with us since birth till
death. We need to take care of the Development Car for safe return journey of
soul to the invisible zone. Serving people and earning blessing is the only way
to maintain Development Car for safe departure of our soul from this earth
planet.
The first step of KRANTI is to educate community
on various aspects of spiritual science that may motivate them to play their
role positively and effectively
Establishment
of local institution:
A group of 3 LCCs, 2 MTs, 8 NGOs, 2 Individuals,
10 Social Auditors and 15 selected community total 40 people has been organized
as an institution to make KRANTI successful. They group has developed
memorandum of their association.
On 12th January 2018 the group has been
registered with the Government as a Trust. The trust has an executive committee
of 15 local people of Beekamou and 25 supporter as Managing Committee of the
trust.
